Yoga for Peace, Empowerment, and Racial Equality

Gather with me to nourish yourself as we process the impact of racial inequality and injustice. During this time your yoga is even more important to discover peace. In this special class, Alie will guide you to be grounded and enlightened, awakened and relaxed, and centered and spacious. Be at home in your heart, and strong in your spirit. Through connecting with yourself and with deep relaxation watch your clarity increase and feel inspired into action. Together we will be supported to be useful in our own unique way. Let’s find our way together so that we can be a part of the solution of racial equality. Alie will provide resources for you to explore that will include, suggested reading and viewing, and organizations to support or send donations. All proceeds for classes will be donated to NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

Hips, Shoulders, and Twists!

This special class is specifically designed for those who wish to honor, open, and strengthen the hips and shoulders, and then skillfully twist to wring out tension. Join Alie and discover the freedom and empowerment that comes with conscious connection with the ground, your center, and relaxation. When you release tension and tightness you will enjoy an increase in flexibility, strength, and energy. Discover the inner fluidity within you, and within your spine with this refreshing and revitalizing workshop. Together we will bring awareness, tenderness, and an active curiosity to the gross and subtle aspects of our yoga practice. Be ready for spontaneous joy and increased luminosity. Alie will teach variations and modifications for the postures.

Have your lunch ready to go and let’s join in a group lunch together. If you would prefer quiet time, please do.

Restorative + Gentle Yoga with Breath Work, Deep Relaxation, and Meditation

Learn how to reduce stress and anxiety, and increase clarity and calm. Alie loves to share the calming effects of restorative yoga. It is absolutely wonderful to use breathing exercises to experience ease within the mind and body. It is Alie’s intention to offer you the space to feel relaxed and at ease within yourself. Use this practice to enjoy the feeling of who you truly are, and experience your natural state of peace.

Registration and Payment
All proceeds for classes will go to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Please submit payment upon registration. Each class is $30, or $55 for both classes, and if you would like to donate more please do. However, a sliding scale is provided when needed. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please email Alie to make arrangements, aliemcmanus@yahoo.com.

3. You will receive a confirmation email once you register.
4. Please “sign into” the meeting at least 20 minutes before class.
5. Once in the Zoom Meeting, you will be in the “waiting room” and then Alie will admit you into class.
6. Payment is easy. Use Zelle, aliemcmanus@yahoo.com; Venmo, @Alie-McManus; PayPal only if your checking account is linked and then ONLY use “send money to friends and family”, if you do not see that option and you would like to use PayPal, add 3% to the total amount. You can also send a check in the mail. If you’d like to send a check please email Alie at aliemcmanus@yahoo.com and she will provide you with her mailing address.
